We use non-identifying and aggregate information to better design our website, and would not disclose anything that could be used to identify individual users.

FSG Australia takes the organisation's obligations under the Privacy Act seriously, and would like to take all reasonable steps in order to comply with the Act and protect the privacy of the personal information that the organisation holds. Signing-up – how do I become a member of U Factor?
To read and post messages, stories, poems, pictures, recipes, jokes you must be a U Factor member.  To become a U Factor member you need to be:-

•    under the age of 25,
•    the  main carer for a relative or friend,
•    currently attending school, or completing the vocational equivalent,
•    live in the Brisbane South region,
•    willing to be contacted by Young Carers Project workers who will verify your identity.

You will then be issued a username and password.  

NOTE: It is important to protect your identity online. You should never reveal personal details online such as your address, telephone number, credit card numbers or passwords in public discussion areas.

U Factor recommends young people using interactive features such as forums and chat on the Internet, should be supervised by an adult.

Submitting your Story, Poem, Picture, Recipe or Jokes:

If you submit a story, poem, picture, recipe or joke on U Factor you are agreeing to the following terms:
•    Unless you advise otherwise, it will be assumed that you have given permission to have your item posted on U Factor.
•    Your item may be edited before being posted (especially the removal of identifying or inappropriate information)
•    Young Carers Project - Brisbane South cannot guarantee the length of time it will take to post your item on U Factor.
 
Discussion Forum:
If you use the discussion forum on U Factor then you must abide by the following terms:
•    Do not use offensive language
•    Do not reveal any personal information, such as, name, address, phone number or email address
•    Bullying, harassing, or intimidating language and/or content will not be tolerated and will result in access restrictions and/or removal.
•    Messages may be edited or deleted by the on-line moderators.
•    Young Carers Project - Brisbane South does not necessarily endorse the content of any messages that are posted.
