Sandwich Day

Today is Sandwich Day! The sandwich was named after an 18th-century English aristocrat named John Montagu, 4th Earl of Sandwich. He didn't invent the sandwich but often ate sandwiches while playing cards - he didn't like to get his hands greasy from just eating the meat by itself (ick).

It became more popular over time because it was a convenient way to transport food to work/school.

Your task? Go to the link in the forums (under general discussion) and lets see how many different types of sandwiches we can come up with. I've started with a traditional Aussie "sanger"...
